Back to Botswana
2023 marked a welcome return to Botswana for a few members of the Anderson Expeditions team after a brief hiatus as the world resolved pandemics. We enjoyed trips into the Okavango Delta, connecting with old friends and making new ones on journeys back to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Whilst in Botswana, we saw some wonderful sights and used an intriguing number of modes of transport in the process. We enjoyed thrilling helicopter flights over the delta and loved quietly sliding along the flowing waters in a traditional mokoro. We went back in time as we explored the wilds on foot and trotted along on horseback across the Kalahari sands. The adrenaline spiked as we charged across salt pans on quad bikes and slowed right down again as we relaxed on the back of a game drive vehicle – not to mention the myriad of light aircraft flights connecting all the destinations. Botswana offers a wonderfully diverse safari experience not only in habitat, wildlife and landscape and here are a few pics from some of these recent experiences and adventures in Botswana…
