I began my journey as a guide, spending years leading expeditions across Africa and South America. That deep-rooted understanding of people and place continues to shape how my team and I select, support, and match guides to each guest. But Anderson Expeditions isn’t built on one person’s philosophy, it’s built on the shared insight that who you travel with truly matters.
Anderson Expeditions guides are predominantly people I have worked with for the past 25 years. This is the finest guiding team in Africa – brilliant naturalists and intuitive, connected people who are able to forge all the elements of a safari journey – wildlife, conservation, people, history, culture – into a coherent picture.
Over and above having a specialist naturalist leading your journey, your travelling guide also brings logistical and administrative value, allowing for a care-free travel experience unlike any other.
Our guides have developed, operated and guided in the regions you will be travelling – they will build your daily plan and activities around animal movements, conditions, your requirements and accessing “under the hood” experiences and people.
They’ll take care of your flight check-ins, special drinks in the sundowner cooler box and gratuities.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all travel. The same goes for our guides – all dynamic generalists with knowledge, skills and passion in specific fields like photography, birdwatching, animal tracking, music, anthropology, wine and fishing.
