Quad Biking Mak Pans

This is a 4 night journey by quad bike across the desolate, lunar-like Makgadikgadi pans in Botswana.  The exhilaration of throttling down on an all-terrain bike is balanced by the peace this vast, flat, seemingly lifeless environment fills you with. At the end of long days crossing the crusted salt you are treated to hot bucket showers, cold drinks, fireside sessions and delicious dinners, before retiring to a bed set under a blanket of stars stretching from horizon to horizon.  Time off the bikes is filled by rock-hopping over baobab filled islands, cricket or football games on a pan as flat as a billiard table and taking in the view, the light and the sense of a place unlike any other.

The expedition ends at renowned Jacks Camp – where camp luxuries and a wonderful, attentive team await in anticipation of the stories from the other side of the pans.
